Federal Government Partners
Action Canada is a pioneering partnership between the federal government and the private sector.
The initial mandate and funding ended in 2009. In October 2009, Minister of Canadian Heritage, James Moore, announced new funding for Action Canada for a three-year period, April 2010 to March 2013.
Our federal partner is integral to Action Canada’s success. Federal officials play an active role in all aspects of the program, including program development, conference planning, mentoring, and guidance on public policy issues and Fellows’ projects.
This project has been supported in part by Exchanges Canada and the Canadian Studies Program, Department of Canadian Heritage; the opinions expressed do not necessarily reflect the views of the Government of Canada.
