Action Canada 2024-2025: Calgary Vlog

Action Canada 2024-2025: Calgary Vlog

Welcome to the first vlog of the  Action Canada’s 2024-25 Fellows!

We’re excited to take you on a journey across our beautiful country as they delve into the critical issues shaping Canada’s future.

Their first study tour took place in vibrant Calgary, where Fellows from across Canada gathered for an inspiring week of learning, reflection, and connection. The program featured discussions with industry experts like Erik Petursson, political leaders such as Chima Nkemdirim and Doug Schweitzer, and Indigenous perspectives from leaders like Stephen Buffalo and Jeremy Cheyne, offering a comprehensive overview of Alberta’s economic and political landscape. Standout moments included visiting the Christina Lake oil sands site, where Fellows experienced firsthand the innovation and dedication driving Canada’s energy sector and exploring sustainable ranching practices at Tullichewan Ranch with Ben Campbell. This journey marks the beginning of their exploration into this year’s theme: The future of the natural resource sector.

Discover our documented experience in this vlog, narrated by Elvis Wong, 2023-24 Fellow!
